............BACK AT L.P.S
So what have we been busy doing this term..............................???
The launch of Chinese language program has been a huge hit with our year 3 and 4 students. This dynamic and exciting program has involved the students not only in learning a new language but in learning about different places, cultures and food!!!
Check out the link to see The International Lunchbox Project started by our wonderful Jess McCulloch to engage our students not only in language learning but in being facinated by many of our world cultures.
Also if you need to brush up on your own Chinese language skills, check out our kids @ technoChinese see what they can show and teach you!!
Down in the 5/6 classrooms we have been taking our first steps toward knowing and understanding a whole lot more about our international neighbours. We are starting to understand the idea of values and beliefs, and are beginning to consider cultures with greater deepth.
So far we have briefly touched on China, India, Japan and Indonesia. Next we will have a look at Korea.
It has been an eye opening and question filled journey so far...........
